SPRING 2022 ONE ROOM CHALLENGE - WEEK 4: LILY'S BATHROOM PROGRESS

After Week 1 & 2 of the One Room Challenge and losing a week due to family illness we’re still making great progress in Week 4. We have drywall!

My brother (and contractor) Paul of Brancon has been busy framing and insulating leading up to drywall. We wanted to keep the bathroom as simple and symmetrical as possible but with a few shut off valves that we would need to access later we needed to get creative with framing and drywall.

In order to avoid cubbies or closet doors to access shut off valves we decided to square everything off but provided accessibility through vent covers. We’re hoping we can wallpaper the covers to match the wallpaper and have them disappear into the background when the room is finished.

Now that the hard part is done we can focus on the fun and easier jobs like painting and wallpapering.
